We are excited to announce plans to re-open our practice! We appreciate your patience as we remained closed due to the state mandate regarding the Covid-19 virus. Governor Abbott has issued a variety of executive orders, some contradicting others, but we are going with the safer route of opening May 11th. Please read carefully below for some important information.
Your safety is our top priority. Dr. Khan and the team at Sweet Tooth Smiles Dentistry and Orthodontics are taking numerous steps to go above and beyond the recommendations to ensure you have the safest experience possible. This includes: Air Purifiers with 99.9% HEPA filtration, mandatory Peroxide rinses, social distance practices and operating initially at a 25% capacity, N95 masks for all clinical staff members, face shields when necessary, to name a few. This will all be in addition to our usual, excellent standard precautions that we already take.
Please be patient with us as we start the appointment rescheduling process. Patients will be rescheduled in the order of when they previously had an appointment. This means the patients cancelled in March will be rescheduled first, followed by April, then May patients. Please do not contact us, as it may take a few weeks for us to work through our schedule. Since we are required to operate at a 25% capacity for the time being, this will limit how many patients we can see at once. Please expect your appointments to be rescheduled approximately 4-6 weeks after your previously cancelled appointment. We are working hard to make sure we get everyone back on the schedule as soon as possible. If more than 6 weeks have passed since your previously cancelled appointment, please feel free to call us.
For all New Patients, what you can do to limit exposure: Please pre-fill out your paperwork using your Smartphone.
Upon arrival, you will undergo a screening process:
1) Touchless temperature check
2) COVID-19 questionnaire and consents
Please also brush and floss at home instead of brushing in-office. We request additional guests to stay in the car whenever possible. If a family member must come in, we can only allow one family member. Although not required, we do highly recommend wearing a mask.
If you are feeling sick, running a fever, coughing/sneezing, or have been previously exposed to Covid-19, we will not be able to see you in the office at this time unless you’re having a dental emergency.
Much of these measures are temporary, but necessary to ensure a safe place for you and your family’s dental and orthodontic treatment. Our staff will be available on a limited basis in the office prior to our May 11th opening. Please call us (832) 280-4410 if you need anything and we will return your call as soon as we can.
We thank you again for your patience during these unprecedented times. We are here for you and look forward to continue taking excellent care of your dental needs. Stay safe and see you soon
